Poor St. Louis City police man. Poor my insurance people. I take my VIRGINIA licensed car to Missouri, and this happens:
Well, that happened this morning (roughly 4:00am). I was awoken at 4:30 by a neighbor whose car was involved. What I discover is CARnage. So I call my insurance at the suggestion of the police officer, and she's going through her questionaire. Who hit you? Technically, this car (greenish one on right) with Missouri plates:
But that car was ALSO parked. So how did it hit Jaxon (wondering about the name? Check the license plate)? Oh, well, that car was hit by this SUV:
And that car has Missouri plates, right? (I mean, this is Missouri, after all). Nope. A Virginia driver drove all the way (visiting!) from Virginia so he could sideswipe a parked car into my car (with VA plates). "So what happened after that?" she asked. Oh, well, he hit another car:
And hitting THAT SUV (hard) drove the SUV into the blue parked car next to it, which drove the blue car into the Cavalier next to IT:
To which the lady who answers phones for a national auto insurance carrier ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, says "Really?! WOW!"
So the driver of the Toyota 4Runner calls the police. Don't be TOO impressed, because this car wasn't destined to go very far after this carnage:
I think these pictures collectively tell the story very well, but fail to capture the essence of the violence caused (and especially the extent of the damage to the Red SUV and Blue Chrysler). So here are some more shots that are quite telling (starting with one that isn't, except for the RED piece of TAILLIGHT cover on the HOOD of Jaxon):
And a cute kitty to brighten the mood.
