As we prepared our ascent, a young lady started running up the trail. We thought, "Well, if she can run, then we shouldn't have any problems with a leisurely walk." After two hours and a couple of miles, we looked and felt like roadkill. We decided to take a much needed break at the halfway point. That's when the young lady came running back down the trail; she wasn't even sweating. Wordlessly, we turned around then and there. We spent the rest of the day hydrating in the air conditioned hotel. Good luck with the training.
